The 21st annual Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Cotton and Grain Pre-Plant Conference and Annual Membership Meeting will be held on Jan. 14 in Mercedes, according to AgriLife Today.
Topics will include boll weevil eradication and funding, cotton varieties specific to the RGV, chemical termination of cotton, weed control, sorghum varieties, sugarcane aphids update and RGV soil testing campaign.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the program starting at 9 a.m. Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be offered.
