Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will offer a Ranch Management University program on Oct. 20-24 on the Texas A&M University campus in College Station.

The five-day event is designed to help new landowners improve their understanding of management of resources on their ranch properties, reports AgriLife Today.

Because Texans are interested in wildlife management, an entire day will be spent covering
wildlife and fisheries management, including white-tailed deer, turkey, dove, quail and a trip to ponds on a local ranch to learn how to evaluate fish populations and aquatic weeds.

Registration is $500, with attendance limited to the first 50 who enroll. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and a resource flash drive containing over 100 ranch resource management publications will be provided.

To register online, go to http://agriliferegister.tamu.edu and enter “ranch management” into the search window. For more information, contact Dr. Larry Redmon at 979-845-4826 or at l-redmon@tamu.edu.
