Educational sessions and a trade show at the 2020 Commodity Classic are designed to provide farmers with information to help make decisions that impact their bottom line.

The 2020 Commodity Classic is set for Feb. 27-29 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio.

The trade show is expected to feature about 400 exhibitors showcasing the latest technology, equipment and innovation.

Commodity Classic provides farmers with education, industry speakers, technology and innovation, a trade show, entertainment and the opportunity to network with thousands of farmers from across the nation.

Last year, more than 4,000 farmers attended the event, which was held in Orlando.

This year’s theme for the farmer-led, farmer-focused event is “See Your Future Clearly.” The annual event is will focus on farmers seeing the future clearly at a time when challenges in agriculture abound, and farm profitability is falling.

Farmers will have the opportunity to attend multiple workshops and breakout sessions designed to assist them in positioning their operations for success in these uncertain times.

Educational sessions will cover a wide variety of topics including market insights, soil health, farm policy, yield-boosting farm practices, technological advancements, farm succession planning, mental health, fertility programs, international trade and more. “Every educational session is selected by the Commodity Classic Farmer Committee to ensure the content and the presenters provide high-quality, relevant content that matters to today’s growers,” said Bill Wykes, a farmer from Illinois and co-chair of the 2020 Commodity Classic. “Farmers have been dealing with a lack of clarity over recent months and they need resources to help them refocus their efforts and see beyond the end of the tractor. There is no better place to do that than Commodity Classic.”

Agricultural experts, industry leaders and innovative farmers from across the U.S. are just some of the speakers scheduled for the event.
