Texas Well Owner Network (TWON) management training is set for Jan. 27 in San Antonio for private water well owners of the Upper San Antonio River watershed, according to AgriLife Today.

“The TWON program is for Texas residents who depend on household wells for their water needs,” said Drew Gholson, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service program specialist. “The program was established to help well owners become familiar with Texas groundwater resources, septic system maintenance, well maintenance and construction and water quality and treatment.”

Well water may be screened for $12 per sample. Prior to the training, two water sample containers may be picked up at an AgriLife office in Bexar, Wilson or Atascosa counties. Water sample screenings are not required to attend training.
