The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approved $26,980,000 in improvement projects for a water system and a water treatment plant and the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant.

Of that total, $15,500,000 will be awarded to the Brazosport Water Authority (Brazoria County) for water system improvements, $1,480,000 to the Lake Palo Pinto Water Supply Corporation (Palo Pinto County) for water treatment plant expansions and $10,000,000 to the City of Laredo (Webb County) for construction of a new wastewater treatment plant, according to TWDB.

TWDB’s cost-effective financial assistance programs benefit communities to help improve their water resources, including treatment of wastewater, flood control and agricultural water conservation.
