Farmers and ranchers are encouraged to attend the West Texas Livestock and Range Conference set for May 29 in Big Spring. The conference is a seven-county program involving AgriLife Extension offices in Andrews, Glasscock, Howard, Upton, Reagan, Martin and Midland counties, according to AgriLife Today.

Morning session topics will address the livestock forage disaster program, bull fertility, mesquite control, stocking rates before and after a drought and a Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) update. A Stay-Tuff Fence demonstration will also take place in the morning.

Product discussions of cattle dewormers, replacement heifer development and an optional off-site fodder demonstration will take place after lunch.

Individual preregistration is $15 if received by May 27, and $25 thereafter.
