Texas young farmers and ranchers have the opportunity to win big through several Farm Bureau Young Farmer & Rancher (YF&R) contests this year.
YF&R contests begin at the state level, where Texas farmers and ranchers, ages 35 and younger, can submit applications for each program. Upon winning the state contests, contestants will advance to compete in the national competitions during the AFBF Annual Meeting Jan. 11-14, 2015 in San Diego, Calif.
Young farmers and ranchers can apply for the Outstanding YF&R contest, Excellence in Agriculture contest and the Discussion Meet. The state winner and runners-up will receive numerous prizes and cash awards.
