The Williamson County Farm Bureau board of directors, working with Williamson County Commissioner Russ Boles, agreed to coordinate a non-profit relief fund for rural residents of Williamson County impacted by tornadoes that hit Williamson County on March 21.

Williamson County Farm Bureau (WCFB) is coordinating with Texas Farm Bureau in Waco to establish a fund for Williamson County relief efforts.

“At its meeting on Monday, March 28, the Williamson County Farm Bureau board of directors approved $25,000 to start the fund, and we expect significant additional contributions from major corporations,” Bob Avant, WCFB president, said.

Board members are: Bob Avant – WCFB president; Scott Heselmeyer – attorney and WC treasurer; Marc Gray – Granger Chief of Police; Nathan Carlton – DVM; and Laura Rinderknecht – Williamson County Equipment.
