Young farmers, ranchers and agricultural professionals from across the state are invited to Arlington on July 14-16 for a weekend full of fellowship, networking and learning.

The 2023 Summer Social is hosted by Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) Young Farmer and Rancher (YF&R) Advisory Committee. It’s the first event of its kind for TFB and open to members who are ages 18 to 35 and their children.

“It is the first time that we’re going to have a weekend of fun activities like this for young families. We wanted it to be a good opportunity to network family-style, so kids can play and get to know each other while their parents are doing the same,” said Adrienne Synatschk, chair of TFB’s YF&R Advisory Committee. “It will be a different dynamic than what we normally have at our Spring Conference and Fall Tour.”

The Summer Social will allow young farmers and ranchers across the state to bring their families and get to know each other. There will be networking opportunities, continuing education and even a baseball game.

“We’re going to have a few breakout sessions. Families will be able to come and go as they please in the afternoon, and then we will all get back together to go to a Ranger’s game that evening,” said Synatschk, who will be attending with her husband and four children.

The activities will begin Friday, July 14, with dinner and a guest speaker. Saturday morning there will be a program, following free time and the Rangers game in the evening. The social will end on Sunday with a devotional.

“The Summer Social is going to be our new. big family event. Spots are limited, so if you’re planning to go, we recommend getting registered as soon as possible,” Synatschk said.

It will be held at Live! By Lowes by the AT&T stadium and Globe Life Field.

Registration closes June 16.
