Grazing, hunting and livestock leases will be the focus of an Aug. 2 webinar hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service ecosystem science and management unit.

The webinar is a part of the Texas Range Webinar Series scheduled the first Thursday of each month.

Tiffany Dowell Lashmet, AgriLife Extension agricultural law specialist in Amarillo, will lead the webinar.

“Leasing land is an important part of the ranching operation for many producers and landowners,” Dowell Lashmet said. “What laws apply to leases? How much should be charged? What terms are included in a good lease agreement? The webinar will focus on practical advice for landowners and producers drafting and negotiating grazing, hunting and livestock leases.”

Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will not be offered this month, so the webinar is free for all participants.
