Nominations for Vance Publishing’s “40 Under 40 Class” of 2014 are due July 30.

The award program recognizes young, dedicated and innovative agriculture leaders less than 40 years of age from across the agricultural community who are contributing to the 2050 challenge. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), global food production must double by 2050 to head off mass hunger. Agriculture will have no choice but to be more productive. Increases will need to come mostly from yield growth, according to Vance Publishing.

Nominees are being sought in a number of fields, including farmers, ranchers, retailers, veterinarians and more. Nominees need to be involved—owners, co-owners, employees, consultants or students—with a business related to food, such as production, processing, safety, research or transportation. Submit your nomination today!

Recipients will be recognized in various Vance Publishing print and online publications, receive a plaque and will be invited to an exclusive 40 Under 40 event.
