The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) recently approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $2,025,000 from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the City of Honey Grove, according TWDB.

The City of Honey Grove, located in Fannin County, will be able to finance the construction of rural water distribution lines with the assistance approved.

Approximately $264,634 could be saved over the life of the loan by using the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.

The strategy is to rehabilitate and replace approximately 30,000 linear feet of piping. When complete, the project will help to reduce water loss throughout the system.
