Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service (AgriLife) will host three workshops for rural and semi-rural landowners in and around Bexar County. Each workshop will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Aug. 28, Sept. 25 and Oct. 23.

AgriLife’s Landowners’ Planning and Management workshops will address wildlife valuation and management, maintaining wildlife habitat and the importance of financial and estate management. Wildlife management is an additional qualifying agricultural practice landowners may choose as a means to maintain the agricultural valuation on their land, according to AgriLife Today.

The Aug. 28 workshop, titled “Introduction to Wildlife Management and Valuation,” will address what constitutes a wildlife management agricultural valuation and the steps necessary to qualify.

Jessica Alderson, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, will host the Sept. 25 “Wildlife Habitat Management” workshop. Certified financial planner Nicholas Valenti will conduct the Oct. 23 “Financial and Estate/Land Trusts and Management” workshop.

Two continuing education units may be earned at each of the workshops. The cost per workshop is $15. For more information, contact Angel Torres at the AgriLife Extension office at 210-467-6575 or matorres@ag.tamu.edu.
