Young farmers and ranchers will inherit a bright future and a strong legacy, and they’ll leave their mark on Texas agriculture. But along the way, they’ll face tough decisions, high risks and market uncertainty.

Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) Young Farmer & Rancher (YF&R) Leadership Conference can help, offering insights and opportunities.

The event, set for Jan. 26-28 at Texas Farm Bureau’s Conference and Training Center in Waco, will feature a variety of speakers to address current issues affecting the next generation of Texas farm and ranch families.

The conference will highlight agricultural advocacy with a roundtable discussion on YF&R activities, a panel discussion on commodity updates and an overview of Texas agriculture’s economic impact.

Conference attendees will tour agricultural entities in the Waco area on Jan. 27.

“Young farmers and ranchers will take back information they can use on the farm,” Whit Weems, TFB director of Leader Development, said. “They’ll also build relationships, expand their networks and, hopefully, be inspired to continue to advocate for agriculture.”

Registration is open online through the new membership portal, MyTFB.
