Grocery prices across the Lone Star State are up slightly this quarter, but a recent Grocery Price Watch Survey from the Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) reveals that the price increase is approximately one-half of one-percent from this time last year.

According to the survey, the overall cost of food has remained steady with increases noted in red meat, fresh tomatoes, white bread and several other food items. Seven items, which includes poultry, cheddar cheese and milk, decreased in price.
