To further encourage fishing in the Lone Star State, June 7 is Free Fishing Day in Texas. All fishing license requirements are waived for the day, according to the Dallas News.
The free fishing day takes place during National Fishing and Boating Week, which is set for June 1-8. The event includes both freshwater and saltwater fishing. Bag limits, length limits and other regulations will still apply.
