To provide farmers on both sides of the Red River with important information on in-season and summer crops and cotton, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host the Red River Crops Conference Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 27-28 in Childress.

According to AgriLife Today, the two-day event will kick off with registration between 7:45 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 27 and will run through 4:15 p.m. Jan. 28.

Speakers will give a climate update and discuss specialty and alternative crops, canola production, the farm bill, weed management in wheat, cotton, the STAX program and other issues.

Registration is encouraged by Jan. 23. Cost is $25 and includes both days of the event and lunch on both days.
