Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service (AgriLife) is offering training for a private pesticide applicator license on Oct. 9 in Amarillo.

According to AgriLife Today, the three and a half hour training session begins at 9 a.m. and will provide information needed to take the private applicator license test, which will be administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture.

Anyone who needs a private pesticide applicator license in the Texas Panhandle is encouraged to participate. The license is for agricultural producers and landowners who apply restricted use pesticides on their property.

Cost of the training is $60 and all materials will be provided. RSVP by Oct. 7 by calling Nathan Carr, AgriLife Extension agent for Potter County, at 806-373-0713 to reserve a seat.
