Texas Farm Bureau is seeking nominations for members to serve on the organization’s Commodity Advisory Committees for 2023.
Commodity Advisory Committees were established by the board of directors in 1971 to help inform and advise the board on commodity-specific issues. This committee structure has evolved over time and now includes 25 commodity and issue advisory committees.
Nominees should be qualified producers of the commodity and/or have expertise in the subject matter of the respective issues committee.
Committee members will serve a one-year term.
To serve on a committee, members must be nominated by their county Farm Bureau president, then by their state director and appointed by Texas Farm Bureau President Russell Boening. The committees will meet no less than twice annually (either in person, virtually or by conference call) or as needed should issues arise.
