Municipal water utilities and other water suppliers in the Edwards Aquifer region are urged to attend the Lost Water Conference on Oct. 30 in San Antonio.

AgriLife Today reports the conference will run from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and will discuss lost water—the water that is pumped but does not produce revenue—and identify lost-water issues within the Edwards Aquifer.

“Lost water is the difference between water that water suppliers pump from the Edwards Aquifer and the water sold to water users,” said Dr. Calvin Finch, director of the Texas A&M Institute of Renewable Natural Resources’ Urban Water Program.

The conference is free and includes lunch. To RSVP, contact Amy Truong by Oct. 27 at 210-277-0292, ext. 205. For additional conference information, contact Finch at calvin.finch@tamu.edu.
