An Earth-Kind Landscaping School is scheduled for Feb. 14 in San Antonio. The event, hosted by the Texas Water Star Program, will focus on the fundamentals of landscaping, according to AgriLife Today.

The morning presentations will address tree selection and placement for energy and water conservation, reduction of yard waste entering landfills and Earth-Kind Landscaping.

After lunch, the sessions will focus on irrigation efficiency, drip irrigation and irrigation audits. A drip irrigation system demonstration will take place at the San Antonio Garden Center and a lawn irrigation system demonstration will be held at the San Antonio Botanical Garden.

Six Texas Nursery and Landscape Association continuing education units and five Texas Commission on Environmental Quality licensed irrigator credits will be available to attendees.

If interested participants register by Feb. 11, registration is $50. At the door, registration will be $60.
