Whether you are an East Texas small-time or professional gardener or landscaper, you are encouraged to attend the 2014 Overton Horticultural Field Day set for June 26.
The free event will feature a plant tour consisting of more than 500 bedding plants in outdoor plots, according to AgriLife Today. The vegetable trials include more than 30 tomato varieties, five pepper varieties, cantaloupe, strawberries, pole beans, bush beans, cucumbers and squash. A fungicide trial and a pruning trial on watermelon also will be included.
