From Dallas to Houston in 90 minutes or less. That’s what a private, Texas-based company is touting for its proposed high-speed passenger railway between the two metropolitan areas.

Landowners, residents and Texans who are interested in hearing more about the plan and how it could affect them are invited to attend one of 10 upcoming open houses hosted by Texas Central.

The first meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, Dec. 1, at the Lone Star Ballroom in Dallas.

Subsequent meetings will occur in cities across the region where the high-speed railway is planned.

Texas Central Partners, the company proposing the railway, will provide updates on the privately-funded project and will take questions during the meetings.

Additional information about the proposed railway can be found at TexasCentral.com.
