Texas Farm Bureau welcomes Haley Herzog, of Robinson, Texas, as the summer intern for the Communications division.
Herzog is a 2018 graduate of Texas A&M University, where she earned a bachelor of science in Agricultural Communications and Journalism and a minor in Psychology.
During her time at Texas A&M, Herzog was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma fraternity of Epsilon Rho where she was actively involved with the Public Relations committee, New Member committee and volunteer work with the Nehemiah Center of Navasota. She was also a member of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council, Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow and the Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications Peer Advising Program.
In addition to her student responsibilities, Herzog worked for The Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Herzog also has served in a variety of internship capacities with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the State Fair of Texas and Heart O’ Texas Fair and Rodeo.
Herzog was heavily involved in both 4-H and FFA programs as a youth member. She served as president on local and district levels and actively participated in livestock judging and public speaking.
She is a member of the American Brahman Breeders Association and Texas Angus Association.
Raised in the heart of Texas, Herzog follows a long line of passionate agriculturalists. She and her family have had much success in the livestock industry and continue to raise registered Brahman cattle.
“My roots are in agriculture, and I have been given many opportunities that have helped harness my passion for agriculture and the communities within it,” Herzog said. “I am excited to be working with Texas Farm Bureau and look forward to using this experience to share and communicate the stories of Texas farmers and ranchers whose roots also run deep in agriculture.”
