There could be cause for concern from residents, businesses, farmers and ranchers about the growing number of grasshoppers being seen across the Southwest.
According to Southwest Farm Press, grasshoppers are thriving in some areas, covering sidewalks, roads, driveways and porches. Large grasshopper numbers are the result of favorable conditions.
Although grasshoppers are an unpleasant occurrence in the cities, farmers and ranchers have far more concern for their crops and the damage grasshoppers can cause.
