An upgrade to the Texas Department of Agriculture’s (TDA) GO TEXAN app allows Texans to stamp a virtual passport at local businesses committed to serving and selling locally-produced items. Sharing experiences with friends on social media about where to find the best of Texas is made easy through the virtual passport.
Users are able to track visits to GO TEXAN nurseries, florists, pick-your-own farms, farmers markets and wineries. Making notes and sharing passport stamps also is possible through the app.
In addition to sharing and stamping your virtual passport, features of the app include locating a business and contact information, along with search results on a map and directions.
The GO TEXAN app for iPhone and Android can be downloaded for free from the iTunes App Store or from Google Play Apps.
