Texas drivers are paying less for a gallon of gasoline.

According to the San Antonio Business Journal, average retail gasoline prices are now below $3 per gallon. That’s down about 10 cents a gallon over the past week and 12 cents from a year ago.

AAA Texas attributes the dip with low demand and increased supply.

The national average for a gallon of gasoline is $3.16 a gallon.

The lowest cost in Texas is in Amarillo at $2.90 a gallon, on average.
