The new farm bill will bring new legislation and many questions.

Beginning July 10 through Aug. 20, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will provide an extensive farm bill educational effort, according to AgriLife Today.

Even though sign-ups for the new farm bill program is still months away, it will be beneficial to learn about the complexity of the new legislation and its new programs and options. A series of county-level public meetings lasting two hours each will be held across the Panhandle and will explain general farm program provisions. Also, a decision-aid software will be demonstrated.

The meetings are free. For more information on a particular meeting, contact the AgriLife Extension office in that county. For a list of county offices, go to http://amarillo.tamu.edu/
