The world of Texas agriculture is open to consumers this fall through Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) Doorways to Agriculture exhibit.
The interactive, agricultural learning experience will be on display at fairs, livestock shows and events across the state.
“Doorways to Agriculture does just what the name says—opens the doors to Texas farms and ranches,” Todd Swick, TFB Director of Urban Relations, said. “The exhibit is a great way for kids and adults to connect what happens on farms and ranches to the products we buy in the grocery store and use at home, school and everywhere in between.”
Consumers can explore agriculture through the exhibit’s interactive games, videos, demonstrations and presentations.
Swick noted the exhibit helps build connections with consumers who are several generations removed from agriculture.
“Less than 2% of the nation’s population actively farms and ranches, but Doorways to Agriculture allows visitors to learn where their food, fiber and fuel come from and experience agriculture in a new way,” he said. “It’s agriculture right at your fingertips.”
The interactive exhibit highlights livestock and agricultural crops grown in Texas. It also shows how agriculture plays a role in almost everything Texans do, Swick noted.
