Results of the latest blueberry variety trials, along with information on alternative fruit crops, are just a few of the topics to be presented at the East Texas Commercial Fruit and Vegetable Conference Feb. 25 in Nacogdoches.

The morning program, which begins at 8:30 a.m., will include: fungicides and insecticides for fruits and vegetables, organic certification, new peach and nectarine varieties and laws and regulations.

Common pecan problems in East Texas, starting a commercial vegetable operation, alternative ways of marketing and variety trials will be presented after lunch.

Separate updates on fungicide and pesticides for fruits and vegetables will also be presented, according to AgriLife Today.

To earn continuing education units, participants will need to bring their pesticide license or pesticide number.
