Brazil is likely to continue the trend of serving as a leading exporter of beef and other agricultural commodities, according to a new report from Rabobank International’s Food and Agribusiness Research (FAR) and Advisory group.

The competitiveness of Brazilian products will improve as the relative value of the Brazilian currency declines. Beef exports by the country are expected to rise, according to Drovers CattleNetwork. Brazil is working to increase exports to several countries, including the United States.

Corn-planted acreage has a projected decrease of 10 percent for the 2013-2014 crop year.
