An in-depth program with several internationally recognized experts is scheduled for the 2014 U.S. Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus Symposium Aug. 3 at Texas A&M University.

Experts will discuss strategic bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) control, clearing diagnostic confusion, challenges in need of solutions for stocker cattle and more. A speaker panel will be moderated by Dr. Allen Roussel, head of large animal medicine and surgery at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.

The event will be available via webinar for the morning session only. According to AgriLife Today, the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners has approved nine hours of continuing education for those attending in person and five hours for those attending via webinar.

Cost is $25 for American Association of Extension Veterinarians and $50 for non-members.
