The 2015 Blackland Income Growth (BIG) conference is set for Feb. 3-4 in Waco and will highlight cattle marketing and sugarcane aphids in sorghum, according to AgriLife Today.

Conference sessions will include a variety of commodities—beef, grain, horticulture, cotton, forage, rural land management, horses and wildlife. The Feb. 3 keynote luncheon speaker is Dr. Rudy Tarpley, department head for Agricultural and Consumer Sciences at Tarleton State University. Several sessions will award continuing education units.

“The Blackland Income Growth Conference has a long history of providing the latest research information and production management practices for farmers and ranchers throughout the region,” said Ronald Woolley, conference coordinator and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service regional program leader.

Registration for the main BIG conference on Feb. 3 is $20 per person and includes lunch. Click here to download the conference brochure for sessions, times, speaker information and continuing education credit allocations.
