Flat tires usually occur at the worst times-during harvest, in the rain or when its over 100 degrees outside.

To help farmers avoid the likelihood of a flat tire, Valley Irrigation has developed a new airless tire for its center pivots.

The tire has an aperture design, which is similar to those used on forklift tires.

The thick, rubber tires have a webbed design to give it both softness and flexibility for use on the farm.

No word yet on how much the tires will cost. Valley reports they will come with a five year warranty.
