A 10-hour workshop in agromedicine for rural health care professionals, including veterinarians, is being offered by the University of Texas Health Northeast Nov. 17-18 in Fort Worth.
Participants will learn the basics of anticipation, recognition, diagnosis, treatment and the prevention of occupational and environmental injuries and illnesses within rural and agricultural communities. Continuing education credits will be offered for physicians, nurses and veterinarians, according to UT Health Northeast.
The workshop will be held in conjunction with the Texas Rural Health Association (TRHA) Conference and both physicians, nurses, veterinarians, healthcare professionals, health educators, residents and students are encouraged to attend.
