To help Texans better understand the land beneath them, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a free webinar on soils Nov. 5.
According to AgriLife Today, “Soils 101: What you have and why it matters” will include discussion on major soil components, the role of parent material and important soil characteristics such as texture and structure.
The webinar will also include a demonstration of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service Web Soil Survey and how landowners can locate and utilize soils formation for use in making management decisions.
The webinar is free. It is part of the Texas Range Webinar Series that will be held the first Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m.
