Texas pecan enthusiasts interested in an “immersion course” can attend the Texas Pecan Short Course Jan. 27-31 in College Station.
Guest lecturers will focus on plant physiology, health benefits of pecans, marketing, tax planning and integrated pest management. Participants will also tour the pecan orchard at Texas A&M University.
Registration is $150 for general participants and $50 for students, spouses and Extension agents. Participants will receive an updated pecan handbook and a Texas Pecan Variety Board.
