You may notice a few changes to farmer and rancher profiles across social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter this week. To ramp up support for immigration reform prior to and following the State of the Union address, the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) and the Partnership for a New American Economy Campaign are urging Farm Bureau members to change their profile photos to pro-immigration reform images.

Several images have been created for the campaign. They share messages like: “#IAmImmigration,” “First Generation American” and “Fifth Generation American.”

A hashtag has also been created for the campaign–#IAmImmigration.

According to AFBF, February is #IFarmImmigration month, which will kick off the I Am Immigration campaign that will continue throughout the year with events and opportunities designed to spread the pro-immigration reform message and to let our nation’s leaders know that a viable guest worker program is important to American agriculture.
