Put your best foot forward for agricultural literacy with the Socks for a Cause campaign launched by Texas Farm Bureau (TFB).

TFB-branded socks, along with other ag-themed socks, are available for purchase now through Jan. 31.

Proceeds from the sock sales will benefit the National Ag in the Classroom Organization.

“At Texas Farm Bureau, we understand the importance of cultivating agricultural literacy from an early age,” said Jordan Bartels, TFB associate director, Organization Division. “With your purchase, you’re not just buying socks, you’re stepping up for agricultural literacy and awareness.”

TFB is an affiliate of the National Ag in the Classroom Organization and benefits from the national resources, programs and activities that are funded through donations and grants. The decision to partner with the National Ag in the Classroom Organization for this fundraiser reflects the impact it has on education in the Lone Star State.

“The National Ag in the Classroom Organization provides teachers with educational resources, professional development and innovative resources that connect students to agriculture,” Bartels said. “This campaign is a great opportunity to give back to an organization that helps serve Texas students and teachers.”

The funds raised through the Socks for a Cause campaign will go directly to supporting those efforts, helping the national organization expand its reach and continue its mission of bringing agriculture to life for students.

TFB-branded socks are available in navy blue and white. Other ag-related socks available for purchase in the Socks for a Cause campaign highlight cattle, cotton and bees.

The socks are $12.95 per pair.

Orders can be placed online. A discount is offered when purchasing more than one pair.

“These socks are fun and make great stocking stuffers,” Bartels said. “We encourage everyone to purchase a pair of socks and join us in supporting agricultural literacy.”
