Haskell County Farm Bureau recognized Alma Terrell, a former teacher, for 75 years of membership at the organization’s annual county convention earlier this month.

Terrell is 104. She became a Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) member in 1947. Her husband and father were both farmers.

“My husband was a farmer, and we faced problems during some of those years,” she said. “TFB works to help farmers, and they come to the farmers’ rescue in times of need.

TFB is the Voice of Texas Agriculture, and Terrell shared that she trusts TFB to be an advocate for the farming and ranching community.

“TFB works for farmers and ranchers,” Terrell said. “I’m proud to be a member.

During the county convention, Haskell County Farm Bureau President Ryder Cude honored Terrell for the accomplishment.

“We are thankful to call Alma a Haskell County Farm Bureau member and honored to recognize her 75 years of membership and dedication to Farm Bureau,” Cude said.
