The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposed Waters of the U.S. rule could expand the federal government’s control over ditches, floodplains and other areas where water flows. This could result in farmers and ranchers being subject to federal permit requirements.
The American Farm Bureau Federation’s (AFBF) Ditch the Rule campaign has produced a new video featuring Pennsylvania farmers Tommy Nagle and Carissa Itle Westrick. They oppose the EPA proposed “clarification” to the 1972 Clean Water Act.
