A basic prescribed burn workshop, hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Research’s (AgriLife) Academy for Ranch Management, is set for Aug. 6-8 in Sonora, according to AgriLife Today.
The workshop will exhibit the application of prescribed fire applied at different times of the year for over 20 years at the Experiment Station.
An overview of the history of fire and how prescribed burns can play a role in effective rangeland management will be discussed. A burn demonstration will also be conducted, weather permitting.
Registration fee is $395, plus a $45 facilities fee.
