The weather is heating up, and so are grills across the state.

Texas Beef Council encourages consumers to enjoy summer grilling season and spending time with friends and family over meals made with beef.

“We are really excited to kick off the summertime with a lot of grilling content to inspire consumers to fire up their grills with their favorite burgers, steaks and fajitas,” Rachel Chou, director of Consumer Marketing for Texas Beef Council, said.

Johnny Stewart, this year’s Ultimate Beef Loving Texan, is helping Texas Beef Council create that mouth-watering beef content with a new recipe each month. To celebrate National Beef Month, this month’s recipe is chuck roast tacos with a chilorio sauce.

Along with sharing beef recipes, Texas Beef Council and Beef Loving Texans have programs across the state to promote beef both at home and at restaurants.

Texans are encouraged to visit restaurants across the state and participate in the Ultimate Beef Trail, a new Beef Loving Texans program available this summer.

“One of our most exciting programs coming up this summer is the Ultimate Beef Trail, a digital pass where you can check into restaurants across the state, order a beef meal and gain points for awesome beef merchandise,” Chou told the Texas Farm Bureau Radio Network. “We did this last year with our award-winning series, BBQuest. It was so successful and such a great engagement opportunity with people across the state to encourage people to eat beef at restaurants.”

Texas Beef Council works with Texas ranchers to promote beef products.

“We’re so thankful to the hardworking farmers and ranchers that are contributing to the beef checkoff and all of the excellent work that we get to do on their behalf,” Chou said.

Beef Loving Texans is a consumer-driven campaign created by Texas Beef Council to share unique recipes, stories, cooking and shopping tips and expert nutrition information. The campaign celebrates the pride and values deeply rooted in Texans through family, community and tradition.
