A farmers market and specialty retail center is coming to the city of Frisco.

The proposed 80,000-square-foot space will house a farmers market, two office buildings, 597 apartment units and five retail and restaurant buildings, as well as a new hotel, according to the Dallas Morning News. It will be located next to the Toyota Stadium.

“Our project is a specialty lifestyle retail project with primary focus on fresh food and farm fresh produce, as well as a variety of small vendors selling artisan products,” said Paul Cheng, the project developer who heads USA Infrastructure Investments.

The planned facility will be one of the largest of its kind in North Texas.

“We will have sheds with produce, seasonal vegetables and food,” he said. “There will be a performance lawn with outdoor activities.”

The project will break ground this fall.
