The sale of the nation’s largest contiguous ranch was approved in a Vernon courthouse this morning.

For decades, Waggoner family members have fought over what is to be done with the 510,000-acre ranch that spans six counties.

Last year, a judge ruled the property would be sold. The asking price was $725 million.

Stan Kroenke, owner of the Los Angeles Rams football team, is the reported buyer of the property, according to the Times Record News in Wichita Falls.

A witness to the sale tells the paper it appears as though the ranch was sold in its entirety and was not broken up.

The ranch is second in size only to the King Ranch in Kingsville.

It is rumored to include multiple homes, oil wells, cultivated land, lakes, American Quarter Horses, 7,500 head of cattle and more.
