Texas Farm Bureau will once again make funds available to county Farm Bureaus though the Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) Grant Program. Counties can apply for partial reimbursement of up to $250 for activities that promote agricultural literacy and Agriculture in the Classroom.
Any county Farm Bureau which conducts or has conducted an AITC activity during the period of Aug. 1, 2015 through July 31, 2016 may apply for partial reimbursement of expenses incurred as a result of that activity.
If your county is selected as a grant recipient, up to $250 will be awarded based on the total amount of money spent by the county.
In order to be reimbursed, counties must submit a completed application showing how the money was used; the cost of the activity, with supportive receipts attached; schools involved; number of students and/or teachers that benefited; and the activity to be considered.
Deadline for submission of 2015-2016 matching grant applications is Sept. 15, 2016. Applications will be examined and grants will be awarded beginning Oct. 1, 2016.
