An annual survey conducted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas Agricultural Statistics Service records the number of acres of wheat planted and to be planted by variety for the crop year. Results for the 2015 crop year are now available.

Results show spring wheat acres increased noticeably in the Coastal Bend district and decreased in the South district, according to AgriLife Today.

Texas wheat growers were surveyed in December and January. Survey results are provided in tables, with percentage of acres planted for the 2015 crop year by variety and broken out by AgriLife Extension district.
